Chapter 9 – Father and Daughter
The first time Aditya walked — really walked — to Meera’s room without a nurse’s support, the little girl squealed and ran into his arms.
Aditi watched from the doorway as father and daughter clung to each other.
"You’re so tall!" Meera giggled.
"And you’re so much bigger than in my dreams," Aditya smiled, brushing a tear from her cheek.
Later, at dinner, he leaned toward Aditi and murmured,
"Thank you. For not letting her grow up without me."
She didn’t reply — her throat was too tight.
