Runaway Bride – The Lost & Found Love - Chapter 4

Chapter 4: The Discovery

It was a late evening in Mumbai. The Raichand office, towering high in glass and steel, buzzed with its usual energy. Deals were being signed, phones rang endlessly, and assistants rushed across hallways. But inside Aditya Raichand’s private cabin, the air was heavy.

He sat at his massive oak desk, eyes fixed on a file, though he hadn’t read a single line in the past hour. His empire was expanding, profits soaring — but his heart remained hollow. For twelve months now, his search for Aditi had turned into an obsession.

Every face in the crowd reminded him of her. Every dream ended with her voice calling his name.

He was still lost in thought when Raghav, his loyal head of security, entered quietly. His expression carried something different this time — a spark.

Raghav (hesitant but hopeful): “Sir… I think we may have found something.”

Aditya’s head snapped up instantly. His sharp eyes locked onto Raghav, his heartbeat quickening.

Aditya (low, dangerous tone): “Don’t test my patience, Raghav. Speak.”

Raghav placed a folder on the desk.
Raghav: “One of our partner companies in Rajasthan sent a proposal. Nothing unusual at first… until I noticed the list of employees handling their documentation. Sir… her name was there. Aditi Raichand.”

Silence. The world seemed to freeze.

Aditya’s fingers trembled as he opened the file. There it was. Written neatly on the form, in her delicate handwriting — Aditi Sharma (she had even used her maiden surname). But to him, it screamed louder than any proof.

It was her. His Aditi.

Aditya’s Reaction

For a long moment, he couldn’t breathe. His chest felt like it would burst. Relief and anger collided inside him.

Aditya (whispering to himself): “So… you thought you could hide from me, little rabbit? In the deserts of Rajasthan? After making me live through hell for a year?”

His lips curved into a smirk, but his eyes gleamed with raw emotion. He stood up abruptly, his voice firm, commanding.

Aditya: “Prepare the jet. I’m leaving for Rajasthan tomorrow. And inform that company — Raichand Enterprises is interested in a collaboration. I want a meeting with them set up immediately.”

Raghav nodded, already moving to follow orders.

The Night Before

That night, Aditya couldn’t sleep. He sat by the window of his mansion, gazing out at the moon.

Memories flashed — the way she used to dance around the living room just to irritate him, the way she’d pout when he called her childish, the way she clung to him when thunder scared her.

A tear — rare, almost foreign — slid down his cheek. He brushed it away quickly, but his heart whispered:

“Tomorrow. Tomorrow, I’ll see you again, Aditi. I don’t care if you run again. This time, I’ll hold you so tight, you won’t even think of leaving me.”

The Desert Awaits

The next morning, his private jet soared across the skies, heading toward Rajasthan.
As the golden sands stretched below, Aditya’s eyes burned with determination.

“You ran from me once, Aditi. But this time… I’m coming to get you. And I won’t leave without you.”
