Written Between the Lines - Chapter 3

Chapter 3: The Wedding of Strangers

The wedding took place at Udaipur Palace, lit like a dream.

Aditya stood tall in a cream sherwani, silent and unreadable. Aditi, glowing in red and gold, walked the aisle with grace, her heart beating fast — not with excitement, but uncertainty.

The vows were said. The fire circled. The world cheered.

But in their eyes, it wasn’t the beginning of forever —
It was the start of a contract.

That night, as they stood alone in their room, Aditya looked at her.

“We’ll respect the families’ wishes. But outside this room, we’re business partners. Nothing more.”

Aditi nodded. “That’s all I want.”

But somewhere deep inside — a part of her heart ached.
