Unspoken Sparks - Chapter 5 (Second Last Episode)
Chapter 5: Jealous Hearts & Hidden Fire
Aditi Sharma had always been a fortress—strong, reserved, unbothered. She never allowed herself to get close to anyone, especially not in the chaotic world of business and betrayal.
But something had changed.
He had changed things.
Aditya Raychand.
His silences spoke to her.
His trust reached parts of her she didn’t even know were guarded.
And now, she found herself standing on unfamiliar ground—jealousy.
She hated the feeling.
She didn’t understand it.
But when she saw Rhea walk into his cabin the next morning—again—with a soft laugh and a hand that lingered too long on his desk, something inside her… snapped.
Aditya’s Cabin – Morning
Aditi knocked, composed as always, holding the new contract files.
Rhea turned, smiling sweetly. “Oh look, the ever-efficient shadow arrives.”
Aditi ignored her and walked straight to Aditya, her tone calm but clipped. “Sir, the Singhania draft is ready. Needs your review before noon.”
Aditya nodded, but his eyes scanned her face. Something was off.
She wasn’t meeting his gaze.
Rhea leaned in, placing her manicured hand on Aditya’s chair. “Adi, I was thinking of hosting a small wine evening at my penthouse this Friday. Only elite guests. You must come.”
Before Aditya could respond, Aditi spoke—sharper than intended. “Mr. Raychand has back-to-back meetings on Friday evening. Investor follow-up calls. I’ve scheduled everything accordingly.”
Aditya turned toward her, slightly amused. That wasn’t on his calendar.
Rhea raised an eyebrow. “Oh? Since when do assistants decide their boss’s social calendar?”
Aditi finally looked at her, eyes cold. “Since the assistant knows what actually benefits the company… and what doesn’t.”
The tension snapped like a wire.
Rhea smiled, venomously sweet. “You seem… emotionally invested for someone who just manages files.”
Aditi replied without flinching, “And you seem desperate for attention from someone who’s already outgrown you.”
Rhea froze. Aditya raised his eyebrows.
Aditi’s voice remained calm. “You had your chance, Miss Malhotra. Don’t confuse familiarity with importance.”
Then she turned to Aditya, her tone softer. “I’ll reschedule that Friday slot if needed, sir.”
He didn’t say anything for a second. Just stared at her, something sparking behind those cold, unreadable eyes.
Rhea’s lips curled into a smug smirk. “Looks like your little PA’s getting territorial, Adi.”
Aditi didn’t respond. She stepped out silently.
But inside her?
She was burning.
And she didn’t even know why.
Later – Rooftop Cafeteria
She stood alone, staring at the skyline, fists clenched around a paper cup.
Why was she affected?
She never cared who Aditya spoke to, where he went, or who he used to love.
But the thought of Rhea in his life again...
Laughing. Touching. Replacing her.
It made her sick.
Suddenly, a voice behind her broke the silence.
“Was that... jealousy I saw today?”
She turned, startled. It was Aditya, standing with his own coffee cup.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said, turning away.
He stepped closer. “You snapped at Rhea like she threatened something.”
“She was disrespecting your workspace. I responded,” she replied firmly.
He didn’t believe her. He saw past her mask.
“You don’t like her, do you?”
“I don’t like snakes,” she muttered under her breath.
Aditya laughed—genuinely.
“You know,” he said, his voice low, “for someone who stays quiet, you said a lot today.”
Aditi looked at him, her walls rising again. “If I crossed a line—”
“You didn’t,” he interrupted. “In fact… I liked it.”
Their eyes locked. The silence between them changed. No longer heavy—just magnetic.
Aditya took a slow sip, still looking at her.
“And for the record,” he added, “I’m not going to that wine party.”
Aditi raised an eyebrow. “Because of your ‘back-to-back meetings’?”
He smirked. “No. Because I have something better to do.”
The Final Blow – Next Day
Rhea tried one last time. She cornered Aditi near the elevator, voice full of sugar and poison.
“You know, darling, men like Aditya get bored. Assistants come and go. He’ll move on soon. Don’t get too… attached.”
Aditi tilted her head and smiled. But her words were icy.
“Men like Mr. Raychand don’t get bored. They get tired of fake, manipulative women who only know how to flirt with power.”
Then she stepped closer and whispered, “Keep trying, Rhea. But remember—real presence doesn’t need attention. It commands it.”
The elevator doors opened. And Aditi walked away.
Rhea?
Speechless.
Aditya?
Had seen the entire thing from the corner hallway.
And he couldn’t stop the smirk forming on his lips.
Miss Sharma was no longer just his PA.
She was his match.
