The Story I Never Meant to Write - Chapter 6
Chapter 6: The Storm Before the Sunrise
The calm was over.
A new storm had begun — and this time, it wasn’t just inside Aditi or Aditya.
It was everywhere.
The Reveal
It began with a single leak.
A well-known literary blogger posted a breaking article:
“KVS is none other than Aditi Mehra, daughter-in-law of the Singhania Empire!”
In minutes, it went viral.
Headlines exploded across the internet:
"Business Tycoon’s Wife is the Mysterious Bestselling Author!"
"KVS: A Secret Hidden in Plain Sight!"
Aditi’s photos, past interviews, and comparisons to her books flooded the media.
Every news anchor wanted her story.
Every publisher wanted her face.
Her phone wouldn’t stop ringing. Her social media was flooded.
And her peaceful, private world — shattered.
The Family’s Reaction
At the Singhania mansion, chaos erupted.
Aditya’s father was furious.
“You’ve embarrassed this family! You kept this hidden from us?”
Aditya tried to explain, “She just wanted her space. Her freedom. She didn’t lie — she protected her peace.”
But no one was listening.
Aditi, for the first time in days, looked truly shaken. Not because the world knew…
But because the people closest to her — her own family — didn’t stand beside her.
Except one.
Aditya.
He looked around the room and said, clearly and firmly:
“If you can’t be proud of her, I will be.
She built a name on her own, without using anyone’s influence.
That’s not shameful. That’s inspiring.”
The room fell silent.
So did Aditi.
Riya’s Move
As Aditi fought one battle, another one came knocking.
Riya held a press conference.
“Yes,” she said into the camera, “Aditya and I were in love. Even during his wedding. He told me it was a contract marriage. It was never real. I was supposed to wait for him.”
The media jumped on it.
“Love Triangle Exposed?”
“Aditya’s Wife Speaks Through Fiction, But Ex-Girlfriend Speaks With Truth!”
Riya’s aim was simple: humiliate Aditi, shake the Singhanias, and win Aditya back.
Aditya’s Decision
That night, Aditya sat alone in his room, staring at the contract they had once signed.
Three years. No emotions. No closeness. No interference.
He tore it into pieces.
Then he walked to Aditi’s room. She was sitting by the window again, just like the first night.
He placed the torn paper on her desk.
“I’m done following this,” he said.
She looked at him, stunned.
“We made that contract to protect ourselves from each other,” he continued. “But now… I don’t want to be protected. I want to be real.”
Aditi didn’t speak. Her eyes glistened.
Aditya stepped closer. “You don’t have to say anything tonight. I just wanted you to know — I’m with you. No matter what the world says. Even if you never love me back… I will still stand next to you.”
Her eyes finally met his. Quiet. Emotional. Searching.
For once, no words were needed.
