Chains of Obsession - Chapter 8 (Second Last Episode)
Chapter 8: The Obsession Grows Both Ways
Obsession is a wildfire.
It doesn’t just consume the prey.
Eventually, it devours the predator too.
The Unspoken Bond
Weeks had passed. Or months. Time blurred inside the villa.
Aditi no longer tried to escape.
She walked beside Aditya now—ate with him, spoke with him. The chains were gone, the locks untouched.
But she stayed.
By choice.
Or so it seemed.
Aditya had become gentler—but not softer.
He still controlled every aspect of their lives. The temperature in the room. The meals. The books she read. Even the way she wore her hair.
But he also began to unravel in her presence.
He started opening up—revealing pieces of himself that no journalist, no partner, no lover had ever seen.
The broken childhood. The betrayal that turned him cruel. The empire built on fear because he was once a boy who had none.
Aditi listened.
And in return, he asked her questions.
“When did you stop wanting love and start craving possession?”
“Were you ever truly innocent… or just waiting to bloom into madness?”
And she answered truthfully.
Because with him, lies felt irrelevant.
Desire in Madness
One night, they danced.
No music. Just silence.
Her in a black silk nightgown. Him in a white shirt, sleeves rolled to his elbows, barefoot on the cold floor.
He twirled her gently, then pulled her back—hard. Their breaths collided, hearts pounding.
“You scare me,” she whispered.
“You excite me,” he replied.
Addicted to Each Other
Aditya started staying in her room longer. Sitting by the window as she slept. Watching her breathe.
She once woke to find his hand wrapped around hers—not possessively. But protectively.
“You didn’t let me go,” he said quietly. “And now I can’t.”
“Is that a confession?” she whispered.
He looked at her with tired eyes.
“It’s a surrender.”
They were no longer captor and captive.
They were addicts—hooked on each other’s chaos.
The Fracture
But madness can’t be caged forever.
One morning, Aditya left for the city—for business, for responsibility, for the world he once ruled with iron fists.
Aditi stood by the window the whole time.
Waiting.
An hour turned into five. Then ten.
By nightfall, he hadn’t returned.
And the storm inside her cracked wide open.
She tore at the sheets. Smashed the mirror. Screamed into the walls.
“You promised—YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN’T LEAVE!”
The cameras blinked back at her.
But there was no voice. No reply.
Just silence.
The same silence that once drove her to chase him in the first place.
And now?
Now it broke her again.
But just before she could collapse into that familiar darkness…
The door creaked.
He entered, drenched from rain. Calm. Still.
A bruise on his jaw.
Lip bleeding.
Eyes locked on hers.
“Did you think I wouldn’t come back?” he asked softly.
She ran to him, fists pounding his chest.
“Don’t ever leave me again! Don’t you DARE!”
He grabbed her wrists.
Held them.
“I belong to you, Aditi. You belong to me. But the world—will never understand this.”
“Then let’s burn the world down,” she whispered against his lips.
