Beneath the Silence - Chapter 1

Mumbai was ruthless during monsoon. The city never stopped, even when the skies roared. Inside the towering glass empire of Raychand Enterprises, the world moved with discipline—until she walked in.

Aditi Sharma, 26, walked with quiet confidence. Dressed modestly in a soft beige kurta with a smart blazer, she held her resume folder tightly. Her eyes held an innocence not dulled by the corporate chaos she was about to enter.

Aditya Raychand, 35, billionaire industrialist, didn’t believe in emotions—only in efficiency, loyalty, and power. He built his empire brick by brick, betrayal by betrayal. Cold, calculating, and devastatingly charming—he was both admired and feared.

He didn’t want a new PA. His last one had quit without notice—rumors whispered about his temper. But today, he was forced to interview the "replacement."

She knocked. He didn’t look up. “Come in.”

The first glance. A storm met a river.

He finally raised his eyes—and froze. Not because she was stunning, but because she was... composed. Calm. Unaffected by the intimidating aura he wore like a tailored suit.

"You’re late," he said, checking his watch.
"I was early. Your receptionist was late," she replied, calmly.

A beat of silence. He smirked. Interesting.

"Do you always answer back?"

"Only when I know I'm right."

Aditya leaned back. “You’re hired.”

She blinked. “Without reading my resume?”

“I just did.”

That was their first moment—swords hidden beneath words, but something deeper lingered.
